Recently I received two new products to try through Influenster. I was excited to receive make up products, especially when they are from a brand I usually don't try. I am grateful to be part of the group that reviewed these items before they were released to the public, and I was taken back at how much I loved both of them! Now to introduce you all to the Covergirl's newest releases; The Super Sizer Mascara and the Intensify Me! Liquid Liner.

The Mind of Avie | Quotography Monday #3
Another weekend has ended and another Monday has arrived. Although this past weekend was a great one, I wanted to start this week off on another great note. The only way to do that is, positivity. I do apologize for the delay of this post. My week has been thrown off by the holiday. With Monday being Labor Day (in the US, at least) a lot of folks were off. What another great way to start the week, a holiday! :)
This weekend, or should I say past week, was the start of college football. I have been waiting for this season to start for what felt like a million years. My husband and I are planning to attend all the home games for Mississippi State. We drove to the college to get our student tickets for the season and while we were on our way home, my hubby pointed out this amazing cloud in front of the sun. I just couldn't look at it, I had to snap a pic. The light from behind the cloud just screaming to shine was just amazing. I felt like the photo didn't capture the beauty of it entirely, but just having a photo to remember it was good enough for me.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and continued to have a wonderful week. I have been enjoying these Quotography Mondays. I find it as a great way to showcase photos I've taken throughout the week, that I otherwise wouldn't share.
If you haven't already, join an awesome link up that I am so very honored to be a guest host on, Social Media Mixer #14. Once there you will see so many bloggers to check out and some awesome featured posts!

Stay tuned for more posts, I have a couple of reviews coming up. The long awaited moisturizer review is almost finished and monthly favorites for August is coming as well. :)

Favorite Decade | #BEDM Day 17
If you are anything like me and love to look back at fashion trends from different decades, this post is most definetly for you! We are going to take a look at the fashion going around in the 1920s, when the "Flapper girl" style was becoming really popular. I find this decade for fashion one of my favorites. It was the time when fashion for women broke out of the "concealed" statements and the majority of the clothing were super frilly and blingy.

Happy Mother's Day | #BEDM Day 11
Happy Mother's Day !!
Today's topic for #BEDM is suppose to be all about British Sandwich Week. Since I don't know much about British Sandwiches I thought I would make this post all about Mom. While today is mother's day, I wanted to dedicate this post to my mother. One of the people who has been there for me through thick and thin. She has never given up on me even when I was at my worst. So I am dedicating this post to her and sharing some memorable photos. Love you Mama! <3

Random | My Thoughts
Today marks my last official day of class for the semester. Let me explain: I've been taking college classes online and today is my proctored final exam. I'm beyond ready for class to be over, so I can take a break before I start summer courses. Working a full time job, that is demanding in time, and going to school can take its toll, but I have to remind myself it will be worth it in the end.
I find education important, it isn't just a way to possibly get you or secure yourself a job, it is a way to learn. As humans we all learn everyday, whether we realize it or not. I find people who are educated and intellectually sound fascinating. Some college students can't stand the endless classes that go toward their General Associates, and I will admit I can be one of those sometimes, but I try to take those times to learn about these random subjects I may never use again. For Example: Music Appreciation, and learning all about music and the history. I probably won't use that class or information again, but since I've taken the class, I have a different light on music and understand some of it better. I have also gained a huge appreciation for classical or what some would call "old school" music.
Generally music has always been a large part of my life. I listen to it everyday, I use to be in choir and still enjoy singing, and music is background noise in movies. So to learn the background and how different parts of music came into this world was truly interesting. Again, I may never use this information in my job, but I can use it in conversations. I could possibly be put into a conversation and actually have something to add or maybe just understand what they are saying.
With all that said, I enjoy learning. I enjoy growing intellectually and hope to one day be that person I find fascinating.
